Notice to Public re: Colorado/Texas Organization scam

It has come to our (FTTF) attention that there is a woman named Elizabeth Bateman from Steamboat Springs, CO who was arrested and being charged with fraud. She set up a fake organization named Colorado Friends Through The Fight. Please understand that organization has absolutely NO affiliation or connection with our FTTF here in Texas. 

I am sadden to know there are people who would make such poor decisions and possibly harm organizations  which have set out to assist those who are real cancer fighters.  See the attached link for more detail.

Friends Thru The Fight Annual Golf Tournament

ANNOUNCING:  Friends Thru The Fight Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday July 11, 2013 at The Canon Gate golf course at Magnolia Creek. FTTF Spring Update

Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated our FTTF blog. So much has happened and so much is coming up for our organization. Recently we represented FTTF at the UTMB Nurses week with an informational booth. We provided information regarding our organization and signed a number of potential volunteers.

Currently, we have sponsored 2official patients with 1 new applicant anticipated for this month. We have unofficially cared for 7 additional patients through other supportive measures. We are excited to continue to grow and reach more women/patients in need in  our county.

Christmas Giving

Today I was thrilled to meet with our second FTTF patient we are sponsoring. Thanks to amazing donors I was able to deliver her some real Christmas cheer. We gave her funds of $250 for Christmas and nearly $200 in various Gift cards. She loved her beautiful framed art (see attached) which was provided by Uppercase Living, Kendra Wycoff. She also loved her Beau Beau head coverings I shared. This precious lady has been through so much and I am honored to be able to share the gifts which have been given to me. Praise God for he continues to provide.

Our other FTTF patient will be receiving a Christmas meal and all the above funds, GCs and gifts on Christmas Eve. Thank you to Dusti Suhre and her friends for delivering and providing the meal and cheer. Being able to provide gifts for others during the darkest times in their lives, is such a blessing for us all. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the GC collection, funds and gifts.

December Updates

It has been a while since I've updated the blog so I wanted to check in and share our progress. Since August 2012, we have continued to sponsor a gyn oncology patient and beginning this month we are sponsoring a breast cancer patient. During the month of October we were able to help our gyn/onc patient meet her mortgage and remain in her home. We were also able to provide a fantastic Thanksgiving meal for this patient and her family.

We are very excited about the support that Friends Thru The Fight continues to receive through private and corporate donations. Through the generosity of our donors, we are able to support our patients as they battle their illnesses.

Currently we are accepting any gift cards of any denomination for restaurants, grocery stores, or Visa. We are hoping to present each patient with a few GC to bless their Christmas.  Any monetary or GC donations can be mailed to PO Box 666 League City, TX 77574.

God continues to bless this organization with incredible resources and guidance. Thank you for reading our blog and following our progress. I'm confident that we will continue to be led in the right direction as we grow as an organization.

October Fundraisers & Donations for FTTF

A HUGE thank you goes out to the numerous organizations who made generous donations to Friends Thur The Fight for the month of October! Breast Cancer Awareness month 2012 has been a fun and exciting time! Thank you to Dawson HS Football Camp, Hustle Baseball, League City Cowboys Football, Chickfila (45/646), Advocare, Parklane Jewelry, Upper Case Living, Center Stage Studio's, Paint This Pour That, Dot's Sweet Shoppe, Scentsy's, Massage Escape, UTMB postpartum nurses (for selling shirts) for your tremendous support!!! Special THANK you to my sweet cousin Kirby Jane Landry who asked her friends to donate to FTTF in lieu of gifts for her 10th birthday! Thank you to all the amazing friends, co workers, friends of friends who have made donations as well! In the month of October we were able to meet a single mothers mortgage so she and her family could stay in their house another 30 days. Without donations, we certainly couldn't have done that!
