Dfeet Breast Cancer Fun Run

We are getting a group together for the DFeet Breast Cancer Fun Run on Oct 27th. We have a team already set up under Friends Thru the Fight. Money from the run will go to Dfeet to help local woman get the mammograms they need for early detection. Patient Sponsorship

We officially have our first patient application!! It was thrilling to read it from cover to cover. I was in tears knowing we could actually impact this patient and lighten her burden in real ways. My belief is if we can do an ounce of what was done for me over the last 9 months for others, we will succeed!! Gods plan is a good one and we are following as we are led. So the adventure starts.... The unknown is scary but by faith we will walk. We will distribute the financial support & gift cards this week to the patient we are sponsoring. Thank you to everyone who has made this all possible. Chickfila Spirit Night for FTTF

Our Chickfila Spirit Night on July 11, 2012 was a huge success. I just heard the final tally $ 251.46 was raised. That means there was nearly $1250 in sales in 3 hours by our supporters. Now thats incredible! Chickfila was packed all night and we saw numerous friends and neighbors going through the drive thru as well. Thank you for everyone who came out or encouraged family and friends to come out & support us. We even had friends from Maryland show up....awesome!! A huge thanks to Chickfila & Jennifer Woeste for making this possible!

Fight Bags being filled

Tonight we completed our first step to finding and reaching the patients we hope to serve through this organization. We had a great turn out from friends, to neighbors to family. All bags were compiled and stuffed after only an hour of team work. I am most grateful for the ladies that surround me and are helping to make this organization work. Our Fight bags will be distributed to local clinics for patients going through breast or gyn cancer treatments. Bags include: GC $10 AE, informational book, resource list, application to our sponsorship, hand sanitizer, notepad, cozy socks, snack, water, clinging crosses with biblical verses, pencils, tshirts and ....I think thats all! We had a great time and we are confident these bags will bring some joy to someone going through one of the hardest times in their lives. God has His hand in everything we are doing. It's through His plan we move forward. Stay tuned.....

Mother's day Flowers @ Clear Creek Community Church West campus

Our website is up and running. Much thanks goes to Mary Donna Piazza who has been an instrumental piece to this organization!!

We had a successful event on Sunday by handing out Mother's Day carnations to all the ladies at Clear Creek Community Church- West campus. Each carnation had our new logo and the saying "For our Mother's, Sisters, Daughters & Friends". We had a little bit of info about Friends Thru The Fight and our contact info for volunteering. If anyone is interested in volunteering please contact me at friendsthruthefight@gmail.com or 2817441786. We have a meeting next week in hopes of narrowing down an official start date. Our first step will be handing out the "fight" bags to the newly diagnosed patients in the clinics.
